I created a document in Word 2003 with a table built in. This table contains
formulas that I can edit in Word 2007. However I cannot seem to add a new
formula in a field. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How are you adding the formula to the table cell? Have you tried the
following steps:

1. Position the cursor in the desired cell
2. Open the LAYOUT TAB on the main ribbon
3. The DATA GROUP should be visible on the LAYOUT TAB
4. In the DATA GROUP click where it says: "fx formula"

** If any of the above tools is not visible, you may need to edit the ribbon
to make them appear.
