Default Cannot access contacts when composing e-mail messages - differ

Thanks - if you know of any links to instructions that would be greatly
appreciated.

However, I wouldn't say I transferred data incorrectly either as, I did us
windows EASY transfer... Not windows "data corruption difficulty"
transfer.... I thought that was the point, to quickly and properly transfer
data and files when upgrading...

Anyways - thanks for the tip.

You must have corrupted your profile in Outlook 2007. Usually happens when
you transfer your data incorrectly, like when using Windows Easy Transfer.
You'll need to create a new Outlook profile from scratch and connect it
properly to your data file before you can configure the Outlook Address Book
Service.

Thanks for the suggestion - Already tried, but the box cannot be checked -
it
is unavailable.

Did you enable your contacts to be used as an address book? I don't have
Outlook 2007 in front of me so I'm going by an older version. Right click
on
Contacts, scroll to properties. Click on the Outlook Address Book tab,
check
"show this folder as an e-mail Address Book. Or is this what you've
already
tried to do?

other posts...

I recently upgraded from xp to 7. I run office 2007. I can see all my
contact, however, when I go to the different contact books and try and
enable
the address book the box is greyed out (i.e. it cannot be checked).

I have then tried to go to tools-address books - it displays Outlook
address book, type "MAPI"....

I then try New - additional address books - outlook address books - and
I
receive the message "This account or directory type already exists and
cannot
be specified twice."

I then tried to delete the "MAPI" address book, however, the option is
still
not available....

Any help appreciated.
