To the OP, if you provide your Outlook version, someone can tell you how to delete the Forms Cache that causes this problem.

After furious head scratching, Bob I asked:
| Outlook? Version? Could be a corrupted calendar. Create another
| Calendar item folder and try it there. If that works, copy your
| appointments to the new one, delete the old one and rename the new
| one to Calendar.
