I assume you've already tried displaying Hidden text to make sure the
footnote reference is not literally Hidden?

I am working with others on a document with both footnotes and endnotes

(the
latter of which restarts numbering each section, about 2 sections every 3
pages). When the document came back to me from someone else, the

numbering
skipped between two footnotes. I have reveal hidden characters turned on,
the show text boundaries check box turned on, and when I try GoTo -

Footnote
#3, it goes to the beginning of a paragraph middocument where there is no
apparent footnote at all. I was able to fix it by cutting and pasting the
paragraph as unformatted text. Has anyone had a similar occurence and

know
what it is?

Thanks in advance.
