This is an Office newsgroup. You are more likely to receive lucid responses
to VISIO questions if you post to a newsgroup dedicated to VISIO, such as:

I am experiencing a problem with VISIO 2000 Professional where after a
document is created with the UML Model template, double clicking on

objects
returns the following error:

Title: "UML Background Add-on"

"This UML Shape exists on a drawing page which is not part of a UML Model
diagram. This shape is designed to work in drawings created using the UML
model diagram template."

Directly after creation, the properties can be accessed and changed

over
and over, and the document saved. Then all of a sudden, the next time the
document is opened, and the properties of an object are accessed, that

error
pops up.

Unfortunately, by that time, much effort has been placed into the

document.

Any help is appreciated
