Default Synchronizing Calendar items between Local PST and Exchange

Moha- Did you find a resolution to the issue of keeping both exchange and pst
folders in sycn. I have the same issues, my cause of concern in addition is
that we use OC and the status is set auto based on Server Outlook calendar.

1. No, you can't use rules to move calendar items (other than meeting
requests, which come by email). Typically calendar items don't use a lot of
space unless you add attachments to them, so you should be well under the
allotted mailbox size if you move mail. If not, the mailbox size policy is
way too small and needs to be reviewed because its hindering efficient use
of exchange.

How much do they give you? Do you have a lot of sync errors, use the
journal, or published custom forms? These have the potential to use up your
space without you noticing.

To check folder sizes - right-click Outlook Today, and then click
Properties for Mailbox (User Name). Click the General tab, and then click
the Folder Size. This will give you an idea if anything is out of sorts. The
one sync folder is not put into the cache - you'll need to use non-cached
mode or OWA to delete stuff from it.

2. Yes, calendar items in your exchange mailbox will be cached - everything
in your mailbox will be cached. If someone shares their calendar with you,
it can be cached to (must be added as a secondary mailbox). Public folders
can be cached too.

Thanks for the reply Diane,

1. I have no problem with emails as I have configured a rule to move items
to PST, is there a rule to copy calendar items?
2. Cached Exchange Mode is enabled but will calendar items be cached as
well?

I checked the tools in http://www.slipstick.com and found tools to
synchronize with public folders or Internet hosted services, both
techniques
will not work for me.

Appreciate your help!
