The problem is that it obliterates part of the name of the field. I would
have to go and resize several fields on several forms. Personally, I
don't
want users to have the access of this as there is a specific reason for
the
order of these records.
So how do I turn this feature off?


I don't know if you can turn it off for datasheets. I've only been working
with Access 2007 for a short time though, so there may be a way I don't know
about.

However, you can replace your datasheet subforms with subforms in continuous
forms view. You can play with their formatting if you want, so as to make
them look like datasheets if you want, but they won't show those arrows and
options.
