Default Error 800ccc34

[Michael, I think MS may have disabled the ability to synch with Hotmail
Contacts, perhaps in anticipation of WebDAV end-of-support. I just tried it
here and got the same error.]

My suggestion was that If you recently added or updated a CONTACT, it
might have an invalid character in it, since you are unable to
synchronize contacts.

The reasoning was that since that error code can occur when trying to
synchronize messages if an invalid character is used in a folder name,
then if that error code occurs when trying to synchronize Contacts it
might indicate an invalid character in a contact.

I spent about an hour looking through all of my emails, but I didn't
see any
invalid characters. :+(

See this article
Error Message When Retrieving E-mail Messages from Hotmail Account
Using

It's talking about messages but indicates that the error is caused by
an
invalid character in a folder name.

Have you recently updated some contacts? Possibly you used some
invalid character in a contact name or e-mail address.

When I try to sync my Outlook Express Address book, I receive an
error
message saying, "Some of your contacts were not synchronized
because
of
errors communicating with the server. Try again to finish
synchronizing your
address book. (Error 800ccc34)." No matter how many times I try to
synchronize, I get the same error message. Any ideas on how to
fix?
Thanks.
