Default Visio 2002 Query Relating to 'Save as Web Page' (Technical) - LONG

Hi Group,

I'm hoping that someone here might be able to give me
some guidance here.

I did post a message previously but it has since disappeared.

I'm new to both Visio and Web technologies in general. I have created a set
of "interactive" flowcharts in Visio 2002 which are designed to be viewed in
a web browser (I'm only dealing with the VML save option at the moment).

Essentially, users can click on Yes/No (or 'X'/'Y') outputs from decision
boxes which act as hyperlinks to further pages which show/highlight the
route through the flowchart that they are following (i.e. if they click on
"Yes" then the subsequent page would display that path in a different
colour).

As a 'default' the web pages generated are displayed with a 'page selector'
and a 'zoom control'. Whilst I wish to retain the zoom control I don't want
the user to be able to select individual pages 'out of context'. I seem to
have managed to get rid of the page selector by some "off the cuff" editing
of the output files, however, what I really want to do is "retain" any user
selected page zoom setting across all hyperlinked pages, i.e. if the user
selects a particular zoom setting for a page then any other pages that are
displayed as the result of selecting hyperlinks have the same zoom setting.

That is my main problem. Something that also would be a "nice-to-have" is
for pages selected via hyperlinks to be centralised, at the current zoom
setting, based upon the previously selected hyperlink.

The following scenario details (hopefully) what I am attempting to achieve
with Visio 2002 output to web pages:

- Page 1 has 3 decision boxes joined in a horizontal row, all with black
borders and black connecting lines.

- User changes zoom setting from 'Full Page' to 200%.

- User clicks on left hand decision box (which has a hyperlink to Page 2).
Page 2 has 3 decision boxes joined in a horizontal row (exactly as per Page
1), except the left hand decision box border is coloured green and the
connecting line from the central decision box to the left hand decision box
is also coloured green.

What I would like the end result to be is that Page 2 is displayed at the
zoom setting selected by the user on Page 1 (200%), and (less importantly)
that the left hand decision box is centralised on the displayed page (Page
2).

I realise that this is a lot to ask guidance on - especially from a complete
novice - but these may be questions that have been answered previously.

Kind regards,

Kevin Bowden
