Default sumif function

It is passed to the function as an argument, and is declared in the Function
definition. It's similar to say
=SUM(A1:A100) in a worksheet function, the A1:A100 is an argument to the SUM
function.

In your example where you start the loop:
For Each Rng In InRange.Cells

What is "InRange"?
It is not declared (Dimed)..
I can't find it in Object Browser,,
This is probably elementary, but
any comments appreciated
TIA

Dee,

You have to use a VBA function to read the ColorIndex value of a cell.

See
the "Counting Cells With A Specific Color" section at
www.cpearson.com/excel/colors.htm for more details and example code.

I am trying to use sumif function to add up a range in
excel using color as "CRITERIA". Is this possible? or is
there another way to go about it? Thanks.
