To repeat: exporting is never a valid way to transfer Outlook data. First
you said "Distribution List." Now you say "specific group," whatever that
means. At no time have you clarified what you want or need to do. We cannot
read your mind.

I want to export the contacts from a distribution list in outlook. Can I
select a specific list, or am I stuck exporting all contacts only?

I am using MS Office 2007 Enterprise.

Thank you!

A DL does not contain contacts. It contains name/address pairs. You can
"export" the contents of a DL with FileSave As and choose Text.

I want to export a specific group of people from my outlook contacts. When I
choose the export function, I do not see a place to select individual
contacts. How can I select just a certain group of them to export?

Here is an example of what I want to do:

I have 100 contacts in my outlook address book (contact folder?)
I want to export 25 of them into an excel file to import into another
application

I do not want to export everyone in my contacts. I only want to export 25
specific contact entries. Coincidentally, I have all of the people I want to
export grouped into a distribution list - which apparently doesn't matter.
