Default Grouping in Outlook 2010

Expand the view gallery in the Arrangement group on the View tab and disable
the option "Show in Groups".

In Outlook 2007, I have no grouping for messages in my inbox, sent folder,
etc. I have been unable to get the same for Outlook 2010. The default is
to
group messages by date (today, last week, 3 weeks ago). I can change the
grouping to something else (recipient, subject, etc), but if I select none
as
the grouping, it always goes back to grouping by date. Cna anyone shed
some
light on what I'm doing wrong.
Thanks.
