That option puts the tick mark in the center of the bar. I think the
original poster wants a standard histogram with both tick marks and
numerical axis labels between bars.

I want to manually make a histogram. I create a bar chart and set the
gap to zero. The problem I have is with the x-axis data labels. They are
aligned with the bars. For a histogram they should be aligned with the tick
marks (the divisions between bars) since they indicate boundaries. How do I
move the labels??????
