Default Cannot access contacts when composing e-mail messages - differ

If you don't want to create a new profile, then you must live with things
the way you are. Creating a new profile is simple and costs nothing.
I've never seen Microsoft be particular forthcoming about the things they
make that don't work.

upgrade... Oh, wait...

This is a complete pain, and now my $200 upgrade to 7 is going to cost
$300
once I call my IT guys... Thanks to ms for another productivity sucking
issue.

Note that some of the information on the Microsoft page is outdated and
contains errors, particularly when applied to Outlook 2003 or 2007.
Specifically:
1. Ignore any advice to copy your PST file to Outlook's default location
to
connect it to your profile. Doing so will often corrupt your Outlook
profile. Copy it
anywhere BUT the default location and then open it within your Outlook
profile.
2. Ignore any advice that tells you to use export or import to transfer
Outlook data. That has never been sound advice, but the process has
become
too deeply flawed to be of any use.

However, I wouldn't say I transferred data incorrectly either as, I did

windows EASY transfer... Not windows "data corruption difficulty"
transfer.... I thought that was the point, to quickly and properly
transfer
data and files when upgrading...

I recently upgraded from xp to 7. I run office 2007. I can see

contact, however, when I go to the different contact books and

address book, type "MAPI"....

I then try New - additional address books - outlook address

I then tried to delete the "MAPI" address book, however, the

not available....

Any help appreciated.
