i would have to agree. this microsoft product is to be desired. as
sophisticated as technology is why is this so cumbersome to enter a
product
id? when they mail the product id it is not even in the correct
format as
the example format they supposedly accept. i am so disappointed with
microsoft. off to mac i go!

I just bought a new Toshiba laptop and I am trying to set up my email
and
first thing is to install Microsoft Office for the first time on the
puter.
It asks for Product Key number which I did enter correctly....5
times...and
it says it is invalid....where does one go from there?? It is the
Product Key
number on the sticker which is on the CD which came with the
computer, it is
not a sticker which is sometimes on a computer itself....This is not
my first
computer and I am familiar with the process...but never had this problem
before, I have heard that this can happen if there is a certain font
that is
not installed, which sounds ridiculous....please answer soon...I have
14 days
to decide to keep this thing and I am seriously leaning toward going
MAC at
this point. Thanks

Of course the OP uninstalled the trial version of Office that was on the
computer and it's activation assistant and rebooted the computer prior
to installing the store bought version with the key on the
sticker....... Yeah, right.

And then they will post here when the can't make Office 2007 work on
that either! ;-)
