Default How do I duplicate data to another location within word

I don't know how you can have a field inside an worksheet. Excel doesn't use
fields, as far as I know. But anyway, anything WITHIN the spreadsheet is
handled by Excel, not by Word.

Hi thats great, i've got that working now.
Is it also possible to update a field inside an embedded
Excel spreadsheet within the word document.
Again thanks for your help

Not really. You can have any number of REF fields to copy

data from an
initial location. You need to update fields to refresh

the document after
you've input the initial data (select all, then press F9).

For formal info like a quote number, I suggest you look

at putting the info
into a field such as one of the fields on the document

properties dialog
(File Properties) then using DocProperty fields.

Hi First of all thanks for your help, I've tried the
methods you advised but the field only seems to

duplicate
the bookmark once. What I need is as i type data it

should
be copied to other locations at the same time. This is

for
a quotation template which as I type the number of the
quote this is repeated at 3 other locations throughout

the
doc. Hope Im making it clear
Thanks
Aidan

Method 1: Use a bookmark to identify the first

location,
then use a REF
field at the second.

Method 2: Use DocProperties.

Hi ,im trying to link data I enter into another

location
within word so when I type in data into a box or

table
it
duplicates it in boxes or tables within the document.
Thanks AIDAN
