Default Outlook 2003 unstable in Windows 7 x64

How frequently are you checking for new mail? Are all 4 accounts on the same
server? If so, split them into 2 send/receive groups and do not check mail
more often than every 8 - 10 minutes.

Do you have all updates installed for office?

Have about 4 - all pop3 - all linked to external - internet server based
ISPs

No pattern except that it allways seems to happen when I am movbing fast -
multi tasking - have other software running, Outlook task running clock
timer
running - composing an email and go to hit he save button or open another
email to retrieve some datad and bang - crash. "MS Outlook has stopped
working...." (It may be that it is send retrieving in the background -
have
not noticed.

I have just raun SCANPST (which also hung the first time I tried to run
it..) It found errors in the OUTLOOK.PST file and repaired them. Do I need
to
run it on the archived files as well?

Event Viewr. Mostly Application Error - Event ID 1000 Task Category (100)

But sometimes I can see:

The program OUTLOOK.EXE version 11.0.8312.0 stopped interacting with
Windows
and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available,

Which email account(s) do you use?
Can you find a pattern in when it crashes?
For instance; it always crashes during a send/receive interval

Have you checked your pst-file for errors already with scanpst.exe?
See http://www.msoutlook.info/question/77

What is being logged to the Event Viewer about these crashes?

I installed Office 2003 on brand new Windows 7 x64 a few eeks ago.
No problems installing, no problems transferring all data from old
system,
never any problem opening Outlook, or any other office apps.
Everything (Windows, Office ) at the latest update SP and release.
Outlook regulary stops working, and restarts. Quite often when starting
a
new email.
I have removed all add ins.
Often Outlook will also not close - when using the "X" at the top Right
hand
corner. When this happens it can only be closed using file exit.
Never ever had any of these issues when running on XP
