Default Pub 2007 How to put incremental #'s on ticket - 8 per page

I had a similar problem with Pub 2003 where I was printing 4 tickets to a
page, needed the same incremental numbering on both the ticket and stub. My
solution was to create 4 columns in Excel with each column uniquely named as
TickNum1, TickNum2, etc. Using Excel cell formula =A2+1, =B2+1, =C2+1
respectively in cells B2, B3, B4 and continue with similar formulas for Row
3 until you have all your numbers displayed; Enter your starting ticket
number into B1, then saving.
In Publisher 2003 I dragged the each of the 4 fields to the respective
ticket, dragging a second TickNum1 to the stub of the first ticket, etc. It
worked nicely.
BTW since I sometimes have printer issues during big jobs, I prefer to do
small batches. To do this, I limit my Excel sheet to 40 numbers, then
reopen Excel and change the starting ticket number in cell B1, Save, Close.

When you do a mail merge you can only have one ticket & stub on your
screen. Be certain when you go to File, Print Merge, you select multiple
pages per sheet. There is a print preview on this screen.

You do have a data base with the numbers, right?

Creating event tickets - need to incremental number the ticket and stub.
There are 8 tickets and 8 stubs per page. How can I put, #1 through 8 on
the
ticket and #1 through 8 on the stub. On the next page I want the xcel
spreadsheet to continue the numbering. Curently, I'm getting the same
number
on all 8 tickets & stubs, on the second page, I get the next number on
all 8
tickets & stubs.
