Copy, edit, paste special works fine for me (Word 2K,
Visio 2K) except for the limitation in page size from
Word. Our Visio flows are big (physically) and there
appears to be a limitation on the size of the Word
special paste to about a page of text (at whatever font
size fills a page).
Is there a way to get the ENTIRE word doc linked in (and
displayed), even if it is 3 pages long, for example?
Not a show stopper, obviously.

You *should* be able to copy the text from Word, the go
to Visio and choose
Edit Paste Special, and pick Word Document from the
list.
This will embed an actual Word document in your drawing,
so you'll maintain
the rich formatting, etc.
You can also try Insert Object ... From File, or even
Link to get similar
results.
I keep getting an "Out of memory" error when doing this
with Visio 2003 and
Word 2003. Perhaps you'll have better luck. I know it's
worked for me in the
past...

I would like to import a word document into visio. It
is one page long.
Is
there a way to do that? I was unable to capture it as
an image. There is
no
image writer printer installed. I tried word art, but
was unsucessful. I
was wondering if I should just make one really big
shape and put all the
text
in there. Any ideas?
