Default miss the bell: reminder symbol display on calendar

Well, I didn't take it away, but yes, Microsoft uses a lot of focus groups
in their study of how people work with computers. They also make heavy use
of usability labs and even send people around to offices to watch how real
people in the real world work. They are also aware people miss the bell - I
had the opportunity to speak with the product team recently and it was on
the list of user complaints we discussed.

Just wondering -- did you have a focus group of people who actually spend
much of their time working on calendars before you decided to remove the
visible reminder? It's one of the first things I looked for when I began
working in 2007 last week. It was a really important and useful
feature --
and I can't figure out why you simply took it away.

no it can't be updated and its unlikely they will add it in an update.
They
removed it to clean up and streamline the view. Reminders can be enabled
by
default and should be applied to all appointments when its enabled,
making
the icon unnecessary in the month view. you can use a table view If you
need
to look for items without reminders.

I thought 2007 was supposed to be "improved." It seems that features
that
were available in 2003 are now no longer available. As I keep track of
both
my boss's calendar and my own, it was a quick verification by having
the
reminder symbol visible without opening each appointment. Any chance
that
2007 could be updated to include the reminder symbol?
