Default Date parameters

I cannot change data type as this is a linked table
Is there any other way?

Are you setting this criteria against a true date field? If so, you may need
to add the data type in the Query-Parameters:
[Enter Start Date] Date/Time

Thanks John
I tried this and when I enter the start date the too complex box pops up
Is there something I missed or forgot to do, I entered the statement below
in the criteria box
Cheers!!!

You could use criteria like

Between [Enter Start Date] and DateAdd("d",30,[Enter Start Date])
