I did have some old eamils in my inbox, mostly concerning passwords to
various sites. I moved them to a sub folder

I unticed preview vane and apllied it, but I still can't delete any emails
in any of the folders.

Does anybody else have any ides about how to get rid of my emails?

Do not store emails in your default folders such as Sent Items or Inbox.
Go to View/Layout/untick Preview Pane and see if you can't delete the
email that way. Then move everthing you want to save to user created
folders that are sub folders to Local Folders.
