are using Outlook 2007.

Have you tried using delegates? What do you mean by "informing everyone
on
the invite list"? If you designate your manager as the delegate on your
calendar, this will affect all meeting invites, not just the vacation
requests.

Alternatively, have you thought about using a public calendar folder for
vacation approvals/denials?
