Default How to make the Global Address List available in Outlook Addre

Do you perhaps have a firewall on that PC blocking access to the server? This

The connection to the server is fine and although there is a firewall, I
can't imagine how this would be causing the problem. Outlook was running
perfectly OK (just no GAL in the address book); I removed and added the
Exchange account (as per the earlier post) and now I have the error message.

All I want to do is reinstate the GAL. Am I being too ambitious? Do I really
need an IT department or Exchange Administrator (as per earlier post) to do
that?

Please, please can someone help me do this. I thought there may have been a
relatively straightforward solution but I will try whatever it takes to
resolve it.

TIA
