Default Outlook 2007 only sends email from POP3 account, does not rece

A very similar problem. My MS Outlook (MSO) and my webmail just stoppes after
two days of setting up a new computer (HPdx2400). NOTHING comes through
either. I called Time Warner(T-W) who after a brief(failed) work through,
told me it's a Corrupted MS file in my Word 2000. Here is the ODD PART! I
switched out with my old computer and NO MAIL can come through. I no longer
believe that it is a problem of MY machine and MY MSO, but it resides with
T-W. How do I get this fixed?

Mea culpa, with a fresh head on I have checked my settings. I was using
the
wrong email address for the user name (the one with the hosting company's
domain, rather than my own domain name). V embarrassing. Thanks for your
help.

Uninstall wont do anything, as the reinstall uses the previous settings
You should first try Office Diagnostics

If your outlook mail accounts are set to leave a copy on the server, then
they will still appear in web access
Have you checked the Views in outlook?

No, the test mesage only appears in the webmail inbox. I have just had
the
hosting company check everything at their end and they say it's fine
(as
it
is from their perspective, emails are going in and out). But new emails
just
sit in my webmail inbox and Outlook doesn't pull them down.
I think it's the same prob as this chap here
http://getsatisfaction.com/microsoft...owing_in_inbox

So tomorrow I'm going to try uninstalling it (going to bed now). But I
have
spent 3 days on this so far and so if you have any other suggestions,
much
appreciated!

But do you see the test msg in your Outlook Inbox?

That's the problem - it says it works fine and there's no error -
but
I've
just sent myself an email, and it sits on the POP3 webmail, and
doesn't
get
picked up by Outlook.

Just got new PC with Outlook 2007 on. Have configured to work
with
POP3
account as per my previous PC (where I had Outlook Express), and
as
per
advice from myhosting company. Despite triple checking settings
though
I
cannot receive any emails from the POP3 account, although sending
them
throught Outlook is fine. Any emails sent to me just sit in my
POP3
webmail
inbox. This is not what I wanted. Any advice?
