Bob B,

I now realize that in addition to installing Office 2000 (Word and Excel
only), I also installed FrontPage 2003. I suspect the MSOCache folder was
installed by FrontPage 2003. If that's the case, the info here (suggested
by Bob I) would apply:
Local Install Source (Msocache)

Thank you for your help.

John

Hi John,

MSOCache does apply only to Office 2003 apps.
Check in Add/Remove Programs in the Windows control
panel to see if there are any trial or full 2003
series MS Office family programs listed.

For Office 2000 the closest thing to that folder
would be if you copied your CD to the hard drive to
be able to reinstall, update or change features without
needing to have the CD handy.

Thanks, Glenn,

I'm at another computer right now, but I'm pretty sure I had the size of
the
MSOCache folder correct at 5.3MB. I will check again tomorrow.

If the folder had been installed on my C: drive, I'd be fine with that.
Having it on D: is a little inconvenient since I'm trying to reserve D:
for
data only.
