Default Quick Parts in a Template

I'm in the same situation (near Philadelphia). This snow thing is
starting to get old. :-(

Thank you, I will try zipping the file. If it works I will let you know for
future reference. But not till tomorrow, as I am home today. Our fair city
has "closed" due to a minor snow storm (see the weather in the mid-atlantic
region of the US)
When this is done, and after last weekend, my back yard will have about 40
inches

In that case, and assuming that you saved and closed the template
before attaching it to the email, I don't have any explanation.

You could try zipping the template and attaching the zip file to the
email. That has the small advantage that a zip file automatically
includes a CRC checksum, so if the file is being changed in any way by
the email transport, it'll report a mismatch.

Thank you for the response.
I am 100% confident that I saved it in the template, which I selected from
the drop-down. I did it three times.

I have created a template for a group of individual to use and have added two
Quick Parts items, both of which are specially formatted tables. If I e-mail
the template to the users, one or both of these QuickParts items vanish.
I can not figure out why. Any suggestions welcomed.
What is the best means to deploy this template?

Are you sure the Quick Parts are stored in that particular template?

When you first create a Quick Part, there's a dialog for supplying its
name, gallery, and category, and there's also a box labeled "Save in".
That defaults to Building Blocks.dotx, but the dropdown also gives you
the choice of Normal.dotm or (if you're editing another template or a
document based on another template) the current template. You would
have to select the proper template explicitly.

If the Quick Parts are in Building Blocks.dotx or Normal.dotm, you
can move it to the other template. First open the other template or a
document based on it. Open the Building Blocks Organizer from the
dropdown on the Quick Parts button. Select the Quick Part to move and
click the Edit Properties button, change the Save In setting, and
click OK. On closing the document, confirm that you want to save the
change.
