Default Formulas in tables

I'm not seeing that at all. If I click the Formula button, I get a dialog
that shows a blank beginning with = for the formula, a dropdown for the
number format and a dropdown for the function. Even if SUM(ABOVE) or
SUM(LEFT) is filled in by default, you can delete that and choose a
different function.

thanks for the two answers. I'll sort through the info and see what I can
get
out of it. I know the Formula Button is of no help as it gives a default
sum
formula and no options.

I looked in help, no luck, searched this forum, no luck. Simple qestion.
How
do i put a formula in a word 2007 table. All i want to do is 1) multiply
one
cell value times another cell value, and 2) total the two columns.

Thanks.
