Using Excel 97 on Windows 98 Excel recognises my association for png
(PHOTOED) when using a hyperlink.

What versions of Excel and Windows are you using?

What are all the settings on
Windows Explorer / View / File Types / PNG
and the Edit dialog that you can reach from there?
