We have encountered a problem in which a database is continually bloating
under Access2007. This has nothing to do with the contents of the db or any
of the usual suspects, because I can duplicate the problem with a database
that has nothing in it at all! The database increases in size 4K every 5
seconds. A 100MB database increases in size about 256K every 5 seconds. Yet
not everyone experiences the problem!

We have encountered conflicting stories from Microsoft as to whether or not
this is a known problem. In any event, there has been no clue given as to
the cause or a possible workaround.

Right now, the "solution" is to tell users to close (with compact/repair)
every hour! But since often the "user" may be an unattended workstation used
to scan members in and out, this isn't real practical.
