Default How can I make "No borders" visible in a table?

With the selection in the table, the Table Tools tab will appear above the
Ribbon. click on the Layout Tab and in the first chunk of the Ribbon, click
on the View Gridlines item.

In Office 2003, "no borders" in a table were vaguely visible. In Office
2007
the "no border lines" seem to be completely invisible. As a result you
don't
now if the text is in the same cell are spread over several cells/coloms.
How
can I make the "no borders" visible in Word Office 2007?
