Default Office 2007 Professional fails to install using Vista

You might be able to do this via a command prompt.

1) Start Run CMD OK button
2) mkdir c:\o2007
3) xcopy d:\*.* c:\o2007\ /e /s /h /y

For what its worth, it sounds like you might be having troubles with your
CD/DVD drive.

Thanks. I tried copying to C drive but when it loads it does not allow me
to
select files (just shows the loading symbol). Is there some other way of
copying disc to C drive apart from Explorer.

Try copying the CD to a new folder on your hard drive and then install
from
there.

Steps:
1) Copy contents of CD to C:\O2007
2) Run setup.exe from C:\O2007

If it fails at this point, will need to review the setup log file to find
out what is wrong. The log file is usually written to the temp folder.

I tried to download Office 2007 professional using the CD on my PC (only
6
months old using Vista) and it comes up with the following error:
"Setup
cannot continue because a required file is either corrupted or not
available.
Run set up again from the original source disc or designated location".
Any
suggestions
