Default How can I put text on half the page, along side a table?

In order to put text beside a table you need to do one of two things:

1. Change the wrapping on the table to Around; this is the standard solution
and the most powerful but also the most problematic from the standpoint that
wrapped elements of any kind tend to be difficult to work with. If either
(2) or (3) will work for you, it will be easier to maintain.

2. Add a column (unbordered) on the right (or left, as it may be) side of
the table and use that for the text.

3. Put the table and other text in snaking columns.
