Default Win95 Fax Software

Use your Win98 CD instead. It's on there too.
For information on installing MSFax in Windows 98, take a look he
http://support.microsoft.com/support.../q187/9/79.asp

The procedure may be a little different for Win98 SE. Win98 SE will install
IE5, which has a habit of changing the MAPI files that are used by Outlook
98 (and MSFax).

The trick is to install Win98 SE and extract the MS Fax stuff from the Win98
SE CD. Get that working first and then rename all the MAPI*.* files and then
install Outlook 98. If you make sure that you install Outlook 98 in
corporate/workgroup mode then you should be OK for MSFax.

Office 97
Outlook 98
------------

I am temporarily (maybe permanent!) using my old Win98
computer. It has Office 97 and Outlook 98 on it. Windows
used to have it's own fax software, I think it was on the Win95
version. I have an old Win95 cd and was wondering if anyone
remembers out to get this fax software to work?

Basically, what I am trying to accomplish is to be able to fax from
any Office 97 module, not just Outlook.

Thanks for any help that is able to be offered.

Michael
