You can't get rid of the format painter in 2007 without customizing the
ribbon. It's a handy tool for copying formatting.

View Conditional Formats on worksheet?

Certainly not by hovering the mouse over the cell, but you can set up a
worksheet_change event to bring up the formatting (and maybe set a ceertain
cell to turn this "feature" off), something like...

Copy or Move a spreadsheet

You can't move a million rows into 65000 rows - they both need to be the same
# of rows -- wither save the xlsx down to an xls or convert the xls to an

VLOOKUP formula displays in cell, will not return data

After formatting the cell as General, re-enter it (F2/Enter) - if you're
still seeing the formula, press Ctrl/~ -- you're looking at the formula layer
instead of the value layer.

Copy loses order of Conditional Formatting rules

It's a bug - it's fixed in office 2010 - copying a cell onto another cell
with conditional formatting effectively replaces/removes the CF from the

Find command will search thru all the sheets. Not sure what you mean by

Problem using SaveAs method

Check your setting in the Save section of Office/Excel Options -- the file
format you specify to save files in determines the default file type. Ensure
that's xlsx (or xlsm).
