Date Formatting

Your dates look like dates, but they are text to Excel. You need to convert
them to dates. Text-to-columns is one simple way.

sum of timesheet

Is "off" in *every* cell of a1:a4, or *any* cell?
If every, try:
=if(countif(a1:a4,"off")=4,"off",a2-a1+a4-a3)

If any, change =4 to =1

Fred

You should convert your numbers to text first. Something like:
=text(a1,"0000000000000")

I type in a number in a cell but it wont convert to currency help

How are you converting it to currency? By formatting the cell?

If the cell is originally text, you need to change the format first, then
enter your data.

Average IF's

Average is Sum/Count, so use:
=IF($C8=0,0,SUMIF(Data!$AC$2:$AC$10000,"MAR-10",Data!L$2:L$10000)/COUNTIF(Data!$AC$2:$AC$10000,"MAR-10"))

Past Special- Transpose Function?

But as long as they are in the same order, the plan will work. If you want,
say, columns 7, 10, 14, 15, 18 and 20 from the master copied to the new
sheet, hide columns 1 to 6, 8, 9, 11, 12, 13, 16,...

You'll need to explain what "does not work" means, because Roger's formula
worked for me when I tested it, including the sample where there was no
start/finish time.
