Remove Paragraph / Spaces

Mail merge (letter): I did IF conditional formatting over multiple paragraphs.
How do I remove spaces between paragraphs if there is no content?
For example if paragraph 2 is empty, how do i ensure that there is no extra spaces between paragraph 1 and 3?
